I don't take any pleasure in writing these kinds of posts. I know that Sharoon, who is Dr. Syal's assistant was helped by him for a stroke she had. As a result of that she steadily and consistently sings his praises, which is fine. I'm glad that she had a wonderful experience with him. My wife did not. What my wife has been thru in the last 3 months has been a literal “Hell on Earth”. My wife is very fragile, and small framed. I have seen her lose 10% of her body-weight during this time. Weight that she can ill afford to lose. Whenever the DAT & MRI scans came back (about 1 month) we could not get in to see this doctor because he took a vacation during that time. I find it hard to believe that there was not a Physician's Assistant ANYWHERE to be found in the building that could not go over her tests results with her. We had to wait until he got back from vacation just to get bad news. In spite of all of this he STILL refused to start my wife on any PD drugs. We had another appointment with this Doctor a month later. We waited to see him for 45 minutes and never got to see him. My wife was at that time confined to a wheelchair and very weak. She kept going down in a spiral fast. Her PCP, who had initially referred us to him was thoroughly disgusted about the whole fiasco. This Dr. Syal was basically refusing to do ANYTHING except to make things worse for my wife. It's almost like I was watching my wife die right before my eyes, Which was more than I could bare. I finally ended up taking my wife to BNI (Barrow Neurological Institute). The “Fellow” who initially saw her could not believe what he was hearing from us! After speaking with the person in charge he immediately prescribed something for the PD and are currently in the process of weaning her off the Primidone. The Doctor at BNI went on to say that she was taking a very high dose of Primidone, Which was causing all kinds of problems, Especially for someone of her age, and body-weight. This is going to take her a full month to get off of what I call this “POISON”. She is already feeling some better at times. Because of what has happened to her even now she is not “out of the woods”, so to speak. Taking my wife to Dr. Syal's office was like going into a literal “House of Horrors.” This Doctor will NEVER begin to comprehend the irreparable damage that he has done to my wife. Hopefully she will be OK physically. It's the mental and emotional damage that I speak of here. Partially because of what has happened she is afraid to take any kind of a new drug. Every-time that she has to take this medication, Even though she is detoxing it causes my wife a lot of stress and anxiety, Which causes her to cry. The very first time my wife went to Dr. Syal's office she was able to walk into the Doctors office under her own power. On her last visit to Dr. Syal's office she had to be taken in to his office in a wheelchair. My wife didn't get to see Dr. Syal the last time I took her there. We waited for 45 minutes to see him and still didn't get to see him. My wife was uncomfortable in the wheelchair so we finally left, thoroughly disgusted and convinced that he wasn't going to do anything for her. Going to BNI was (In my opinion) One of the smarter moves that I have made regarding my wife's health. At least NOW she is on PD medication and she is detoxing from the other drug.

This is not for the doctor but, for thr nursing assistant. Her name: Shaaron. Which I see a comment on here with that name... She is very, very rude. She talks to you like a narcissistic person. This person needs to be treated in a psychiatric ward. Just see if she has a problem. Shaaron needs to learn people skills. She has none. She cannot own up to own mistake. She cannot remember why she talked to a patient or called a patient. I had voicemail proof one time. She tried making me doing a test (CT) while I was pregnant. HER exact words was, "We can find someone that will do it for you." (Hell NO) She argues with you over the phone. Especially when their office is about to close. She argue with me about who was my neurologist.... Again her name is Shaaron. You have to be stern with her and make sure you re-ask the doctor the same question. This lady needs remember there is many practices (businesses) out there. People have choices. She might think she old, but damn sure is not wise!
